About LegalHub

A free search tool for publicly available Australian legal materials.

What is LegalHub?

LegalHub is a free search tool that lets you search publicly available Australian court decisions and legislation in plain language. Search results link to the original documents on AustLII or JADE for verification. Coverage varies by jurisdiction and is being progressively expanded.

How it works

We index publicly available court decisions and legislation sourced from the Open Australian Legal Corpus (CC-BY-4.0). Type a description of your situation or a legal topic, and we return relevant court decisions and legislative provisions. Each result links to the original source for the full authoritative text.

Coverage note: Our data comes from the Open Australian Legal Corpus, which primarily covers NSW and Commonwealth court decisions, plus legislation from multiple jurisdictions. Coverage of Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania, ACT, and Northern Territory court decisions is limited. We are working to expand coverage progressively.
